owrangka! hol is coming to an end pretty soon! part of me is very excited to start uni life but i knw i wld sooooooo miss my current slack, live-by-the-day life sobs. i am now living on books and driving lessons. i think i had read more books than my past 5yrs lol, with the jurong lib becoming my fav hangout (urgh i sound like a total nerd).
i just finished reading 'Marley & Me' by John Grogan and i STRONGLY recommend this book!! (esp doggie lovers) it's like a biography abt this dumb crazy adorable dog with some attention deficit disorder. it was so entertaining reading abt its everyday life i actually laugh out loud several times while reading (attracting weird looks frm my mum) and cried at the ending (and that's saying smth). everyone shld read this fabulous book!!
the Dave Pelzer books are very touching as well!
and the Black Magician Trilogy and the Eragon trilogy for fantasy reads.
ok enough abt books. went for dinner with yt and zihui ytd night. was a nice catchup session as i hadnt seen them both for ages. went to vivo and ate at the asian kitchen.had a quite-nice mango sago (the minus point is that its not cold enough) plus some soft-shell crab and noodles yt piled on my plate. oh and guess what, zh actually drove to vivo aft just passing her driving test in the morning the lucky girl! i m so freaking jealous and envious and scaredshit for my test in the coming month! not every encouraging with my instructor spelling out that i still need loads of practice lol. may all the luck in the world be with me that day.

so this is another one of my infrequent entry in which i must squeeze in whatever that had happened in the past 2 wks.
1. lily's sentosa farewell party
Mr stormy was in his element and it rained elephants and giraffe since early morning. arrived early and waited for almost an hr for majority of the ppl to come. coz of the (stupid) rain, we hid in food republic at vivo till almost 12.30pm before we decided to go sentosa. some ppl even left before we went there! hahaha the plan of pot-lucking under the sun was replaced with stuffing ourselves under the shelter, so it dint really feel like being at the beach at all. and there's this grp of super annoying and loud ppl playing loud games and hollering away. other than that, the food was delicious! esp jw's muffin-like scones (gasp he baked it)and saratri's fried rice and donuts and antoin's meat patty and flavoured pork (gasp he made it and baked the buns himself!! whats with guys and cooking). lucky us, the sun did come out in the late aftn and we played at the coast, made sand-turtles and a surprisingly-fun captains ball! annnddddd the luge was FUN! i strongly recommend it even though it was very over-priced.
2. lily's ding tai feng farewell
wow. everyone (lily, fang, geoks and min) wore dresses and i just turn up in shorts haha! nvm, the focus here was lily and food. ate ding tai feng at wisma (my very first time!) and ordered xiaolongbaos, siewmai-which-doesnt-look/taste-like siewmai and fabulousa prawn pancake hehee. fang actually ate 10 xiaolongbaos by herself! i m so impressed. andddd the freakin siewmais are like xiaolongbaos with a prawn on top wth. they even got soup inside. gd thing they taste gd as well so i forgave the chef lol.

went shaw hse to watch narnia aft hogging the dingtaifeng table for 2hrs. geoks happily pointed out every reflective surface she saw and insisted on camwhoring omg. every reflective surface is an opportunity! hahahah and we even went up and down the escalator twice just to take photos! and we got ppl to help us take photo with po the panda! so embarrassing and fun. the movie was very gd!! its quite funny that lily and geoks keep whispering to me abt how cute peter/caspian is during the movie LOL. like SIGH.
yeah loh. lilydear is flying off to mich this sun:( and i m goin to miss her craziness and funnyfaces/poses/noses and how she can make me laugh so hard.
to think that my little grp of sconebreakbuddies/muggingmates/slpovr-mates/fellowhonkies is getting smaller and smaller:(

sigh. i m still a hermit, but i m getting use to being lazy and lazing. hahaha.. ohdear. it can't be a gd thing. soooo yep i felt sorry for my dusty blog so i shall erm. blog abt smth!

i rebonded my hair tgt with dear-ahbeng! it's now super unnaturally straight with a weird fringe and i m hoping they will turn out more natural aft some days. eek. spent a friggin 6hrs there and my butt was non-existent aft that ha.
sat
went out with yuting and zihui! it got postponed by an hr cos it's raining at zihui's. but aft the 1 hr it was raining at my place! lol. yt and i arrived first and we spent a damn long time at robinson's shoes sect. zh joined us ltr and the both of them bought the same shoes! hahaha then we went OG! even though yt and i were thinking they were quite auntie-ish but it turned out that there were many gd bargains! hehehee we were so happy browsing and hoarding the changing rooms i almost forgot abt my date with yiting and yuxiu! hahaha it was quite funny coz the 3 of us bought so many of the same things. like me and yt bought 2 same tops, yt and zh bought the same pair of shoes and 3/4 jeans.
met up with yx and yt 1/2 hr late (paiseh) at central. went to this superb jap restaurant 'waraku'. the servings were HUMONGULOUS! like the bowl was the size of a basin! its so big that the 3 of us actually shared a set meal lol!

went walk-walking aft that while eating icecream frm azabu sabo. the macha-with-redbean icecream was fantastic! the tofu one was weird tho. heh. went daimaru and met enrico, another pri sch fren. such a coincidence!

bek and qw came my house to bake the american 'bek'/baked cheesecake! it was rather smooth-sailing other than the fact that
1. we went 2 supermakets to buy our ingredients and the cream cheese was sooooooo ex
2. i cannot find certain baking equipments (ok. several of them in fact) gd thing we can improvise
3. no eggs
4. we manually whisk the stupid egg white+sugar+lemon juice mixture for more than an hr, trying to achieve stiff consistency when all we got is a greyish mixture with some bubbles. a call to bek's mum turned out that we wouldnt achieve that even if we whisk till night falls coz we were supposed to just whisk with egg white -.- omg have to pour that away, what a waste of eggs.
other than that, we did succeed in having 2 beautiful cheese cakes to our credit! in fact, qw and i (bek left early) were so proud we took super-a-lot of photos of it ahah! here:
